About the [STUDY NAME] Study

The [STUDY NAME] Study is evaluating the safety and effectiveness of an investigational treatment for adults with excess weight. The study aims to determine if the investigational treatment, a potential non-GLP-1 option, can help control appetite and manage weight.

If you are eligible and choose to participate in the [STUDY NAME] Study, you will be randomly assigned to 1 of 6 groups, or arms, and receive either the investigational treatment or a placebo (a substance that looks like the investigational treatment but contains no active ingredients). You will take your assigned study treatment as a subcutaneous (under the skin) injection either once weekly, once every other week, or once monthly depending on which study group you are assigned to.

The study will last about 64 weeks, including 4 weeks for screening, 52 weeks for study treatment, and 8 weeks for follow-up. Overall, there will be up to 17 visits, including 1 visit for screening, 15 visits for study treatment, and 1 visit for follow-up (via phone call).

At the end of the study treatment period, participants may be given the opportunity to enter a separate roll-over study in which all participants receive the investigational treatment.

Participants will also receive support throughout the study, including diet and exercise counseling and ongoing check-ins.

You can play a role in helping researchers find more ways to study weight management by participating in this study.
